ADVANSA launches ADVA®tex: A new step toward textile-to-textile recycling

ADVANSA has introduced ADVA®tex, a new filling fibre made entirely from recycled pre-consumer textile waste, positioning the material as a significant step forward in textile-to-textile (T2T) recycling. The fibre is designed for use in duvets, pillows, mattresses, and furniture applications and is available in three versions.

The launch comes amid mounting pressure on the industry to address its environmental footprint. More than 92 million tonnes of textiles are discarded globally each year, most of which are landfilled or incinerated. ADVANSA frames ADVA®tex as a practical alternative that transforms sorted textile residues into soft, durable, high-quality PET staple fibres.

According to the company, the process—from the collection and sorting of textile waste to its conversion into PET pellets and extrusion into final fibres—is fully traceable and aligned with strict sustainability standards. By using waste as a feedstock, ADVA®tex aims to reduce CO₂ emissions, limit reliance on virgin resources, and support progress toward a closed-loop T2T system.

ADVANSA emphasises that achieving circularity will require cooperation along the entire value chain, from material suppliers to retailers. The company calls on industry stakeholders to collaborate in accelerating the shift toward more sustainable textile production.
