Durak Tekstil, a leading manufacturer of industrial sewing and embroidery threads, is participating in the 3rd International Bedding Sub-Industry and Technologies Exhibition IBIA EXPO 2024, which will be held at IFM on September 25-28, with its innovative products reflecting its R&D strength. Durak Tekstil’s booth D05 in Hall 7 will become a popular destination for visitors with a visually appealing and informative concept. The 135 m2 booth will feature Durak Tekstil’s special threads for bedding and related industries, as well as application examples and artistic works. Throughout the event, the company’s expert staff will be on hand to inform visitors about both the technical features of the threads and to talk about applications.

Durak continued his words saying; “IBIA Türkiye was established as an umbrella organization for the industry, and we took part in its establishment. It has become an important organization for our industry. We attach great value to both IBIA and the IBIA Expo exhibitions in order to represent the Turkish bedding industry abroad and to be among the effective producer countries in this segment. Stating that they highlight a new technical thread reflecting their R&D strength in each edition of the event, Durak announced that last year, fire and combustion resistant aramid threads attracted great attention and this year, the insect repellent sewing thread Bug-Safe will have the lead. Durak; “Whether in our personal living spaces or in commercial accommodation areas such as hotels, pests pose a major problem. These pests can pose a serious danger especially for sleeping comfort and health and can breed in seams that can be damp. As Durak Tekstil, we developed Bug-Safe sewing thread as a solution to this problem. This innovative product of ours prevents insects and invisible pests from living and breeding in seams and keeps them away from the bed.” Noting that this feature of Bug-Safe thread has been tested and approved by independent international laboratories, Durak relayed that an ideal sewing thread for home textile products such as beds and furniture has been introduced to the market. He said that this new thread also has the OEKO-TEX certificate, which shows that it does not pose a risk to human health and the environment.

Indicating that their R&D department has carried out successful work, Yi?it Durak expressed that there are several important studies waiting their turn in the project pool. Stating that they supply thread to more than 20 industries including the bedding industry, He underlined that they are in a strong position as a preferred and trusted partner in this segment. Disclosing that they will focus especially on export markets at IBIA EXPO 2024, Durak said; “As the first manufacturer in its segment to receive the Turquality certificate, we are taking strategic steps to strengthen our presence in the global market.
