AMANN reviews successful Texprocess 2026 and highlights innovations for circularity and performance
Christine Bauer, Chief Commercial Officer of AMANN Group, emphasised the continued importance of the trade fair for the industry. According to Bauer, Texprocess remains a key platform for direct dialogue, particularly due to its synergies with the parallel Techtextil exhibition. She noted that it was therefore important for AMANN to return in 2026 and present its latest high-performance sewing and embroidery threads.
One of the major highlights for the company was receiving the Texprocess Innovation Award 2026 in the category “Ecological Quality” for its innovation AeoniQ™ Fil. The award-winning sewing thread was developed in cooperation with AeoniQ™, a Portuguese-Swiss joint venture focused on enabling monomaterial designs for circular textile concepts.
AMANN also strengthened its activities in the field of textile circularity through a partnership with Resortecs. Together, the companies are working on industrialising design-for-disassembly solutions for fashion applications. Central to this approach is the heat-dissolvable sewing thread Smart Stitch™, which enables automated garment disassembly, improved material recovery, and high-quality recycling at industrial scale. The technology was developed by Resortecs and is now produced by AMANN.
At Texprocess 2026, AMANN presented six product innovations addressing key industry requirements such as circularity, seam quality, processability, and visibility:
- AeoniQ™ Fil – award-winning sewing thread for circular applications
- Smart Stitch™ – heat-dissolvable sewing thread for efficient textile recycling
- Waterfil – water-soluble sewing thread for temporary seams
- Sera & Isa Reflect – retroreflective threads for enhanced visibility
- Saba Evo – premium sewing thread for superior seam uniformity
- Isacord Recycled UV – UV-resistant embroidery thread made from recycled materials
With these innovations, AMANN underlines its commitment to combining technological excellence, high processing standards, and responsible product development.
