Infinited Fiber Company’s environmental permit for Kemi advances to statutory appeal phase

Infinited Fiber has reached an important regulatory milestone in Finland, as the environmental permit process for a potential facility in Kemi has progressed to the statutory appeal phase.

“The milestone reflects the environmental maturity of our technology and processes, and supports our broader regulatory readiness as we advance a phased approach to scaling Infinna™ circular textile fiber production”, says Sahil Kaushik, CEO of Infinited Fiber.

Infinited Fiber views the permit decision positively and will review the decision and any input received during the appeal period in line with its normal procedures.

Infinited Fiber Company announces that Petri Alava, co-founder and CEO since the company’s founding in 2016, will step down from his role on May 31, 2025. Chief Operating Officer Sahil Kaushik will serve as acting CEO from June 1, 2025. Petri Alava will continue supporting the company as Senior Advisor through the end of November. The Board of Directors has initiated the search for a permanent successor.
