ALMA boosts floor covering production with high-performance line from DiloGroup

ALMA in Florence is a specialist in the floor covering sector providing high quality products in a vast range of styles, colours and aesthetics. For its own fibre supply Messrs. ALMA keep an inhouse production of PP fibre in order to accommodate their need of excellent raw materials and broad production needs.

Their production is mostly dedicated to four different sectors in the market of floor coverings:

• exhibition carpet

• artificial grass

• automotive interiors and car mats

• domestic sector (DIY)

Quality is a decisive factor to respond to the markets’ requirements adequately, as well as competitive pricing. This called for an additional installation of a highly productive state-of-the-art production line from DiloGroup and has been realized by DiloSystems GmbH in Eberbach, Germany.

In a longer phase of engineering, performed jointly among the management of ALMA and the engineering departments of DILO, the required fulfilment of quality, efficiency and economics could be optimized and has led to the ideal choice of state-of-the-art components from fibre preparation, web forming, needling and end-of-line equipment.

Consisting of a DiloTemafa fibre blending and filtration system, DiloSpinnbau card feeding, state-of-the-art carding, DiloMachines high speed crosslapping, and needling 6 m wide, including inline DI-LOOP for high-speed structuring.

Along with this high-performance preparation, web forming and needling line, modern components of process controls and the Industry 4.0 DI-Connect system according to high level standards have been integrated.

According to the Casini family the line has been installed and started-up in a smooth, straight forward way, synchronizing DILO’s field service and installation team together with the ALMA operating and maintenance department. The launch was providing a quick start-up and is providing full production capacity with the expected features of the renowned ALMA quality.

With the theme “Modernizing Needling”, the DiloGroup presents a comprehensively enhanced portfolio for needling technology. The objective is to further increase the performance and application range of needlefelt production lines in terms of productivity, flexibility, and the development of new products, thereby meeting the growing demands of modern technical textiles.

Dilo Systems and Kansan Group partnership announcement

Dilo Systems GmbH, a Germany-based manufacturer specializing in complete nonwoven lines, and Kansan Group, a Turkish manufacturer specializing in nonwoven converting lines, end-of-line solutions, and Wetlaid Nonwoven machinery, have signed a strategic partnership agreement to supply custom nonwoven lines.

LineONE – Smart performance, smart investment at Techtextil 2026

ANDRITZ at Techtextil 2026: Sustainability and advanced technologies

International technology Group ANDRITZ will be presenting its innovative nonwovens production and textile solutions at Techtextil in Frankfurt, Germany, from April 21 to 24, 2026 (Hall 12, B95). ANDRITZ will focus on technologies for durable and technical nonwovens, sustainable fiber processes, textile recycling, and life-cycle services.

Future ready nonwovens and fiber processing solutions – Meet Trützschler at Techtextil 2026

From April 21 to 24, 2026, the Trützschler Group will present its future‑ready solutions at Techtextil in Frankfurt, Germany. At Booth C61 in Hall 12.0, Trützschler Nonwovens will showcase its latest developments for efficient nonwovens production, including comprehensive service and consulting solutions. Highlights include the fully upgraded X‑Series nonwoven cards suitable for spunlace, needle‑punching and air‑through bonding (ATB) processes, as well as the T‑ONE digital working environment enhanced with new features. New study shows low environmental impact by Cotton made in Africa Organic Cotton from Tanzania

Today, the Aid by Trade Foundation (AbTF) is announcing the results of a comprehensive life-cycle analysis (LCA) for cotton produced in Tanzania under the Cotton made in Africa Organic (CmiA Organic) standard. The study emphasises the small ecological footprint of CmiA Organic verified cotton. This can largely be traced back to the absence of synthetic pesticides, artificial fertilisers, and artificial irrigation. Consequently, CmiA Organic cotton can help the textile industry meet regulatory requirements as well as science-based targets. The results also show that the consequences of climate change threaten the livelihoods of these cotton farmers, even though the type of agriculture they practise barely contributes to climate change.

PERFORMANCE DAYS proves its relevance as the industry’s key meeting point

Held on March 18–19, 2026, PERFORMANCE DAYS once again confirmed its position as a leading international platform for functional textiles. A total of 3.366 trade visitors and around 560 exhibitors gathered in Munich, with the event already kicking off successfully on DAY 0, which received highly positive feedback for its interactive format. Despite challenging conditions caused by the public transport strike in Munich, the event saw strong attendance and a consistently high level of activity across both exhibition days.
