At the Textile Exchange Conference 2025, Eastman Naia™ released its 2025 Sustainability Progress Report and announced its 2025–2030 Sustainability Goals, presenting a record of genuine progress and outlining a renewed roadmap for the years ahead. This announcement demonstrates Naia™’s long-standing commitment to driving an industry-wide shift toward sustainability through scalable, commercially viable material solutions.

Rooted in transparency and measurability, the updated goals set a course through 2030 across three key priorities: mitigating climate change, mainstreaming circularity, and caring for society. These commitments reflect the very principles championed at the Textile Exchange Conference.

At Textile Exchange, Naia™ is showcasing the versatility of its sustainable fiber platform through three applications that address brand needs across performance, fashion, and circularity:

+++ Naia™ On the Move – a blending solution designed for light sports and urban lifestyle wear, building on the exceptional performance of Naia™ Renew staple fiber.

+++ Naia™ Denim – offering comfort and circularity for authentic and fashion denim, also using staple fiber formats.

+++ Naia™ GlowNow – a new campaign paying tribute to the classic Naia™ filament yarn, known for its exceptional comfort, easy care, and style in low-impact women’s fashion.

These applications are made using Naia™ fibers sourced from sustainably managed forests. When produced with Naia™ Renew, they contain 40% GRS-certified recycled content, enabled by Eastman’s molecular recycling technology.

Eastman introduces Naia™ Lyte at Première Vision Paris, marking a major breakthrough in fiber tenacity for cellulose acetate filament yarn performance

Eastman unveils Naia™ Lyte, a new cellulose acetate filament yarn that represents an important milestone in performance for lightweight and premium fabrics, at Première Vision Paris. Presented for the first time to the international fashion and textile community, Naia™ Lyte expands the capabilities of acetate yarn by introducing enhanced tenacity, unlocking new creative and technical possibilities for designers, mills and brands.

At the Textile Exchange Conference in Lisbon, Eastman Naia™ was honored with its fourth consecutive “Dark Green Shirt” in Canopy’s Hot Button Report, an annual ranking of man-made cellulosic fiber producers based on forest conservation, sourcing risk, and supply chain transparency. IMG Group, parent of Evertis and Selenis, launches Everbio Innovation Hub backed by €15 million in financing from C2 Capital Partners

IMG Group launched the Everbio Innovation Hub, backed by €15 million in financing from C2 Capital Partners. Located at the Group’s industrial site in Portalegre, Portugal, the Everbio Innovation Hub brings together the capabilities of Evertis (PET-based packaging films), Selenis (specialty copolyester resins), Renascis (advanced multilayer recycling) and Renewis (renewable energy) to develop, test and mature the next generation of recycled and bio-based polymer materials and technologies.

Object Carpet tests production of rPET BCF yarn on Neumag BCF line

In a joint project with Object Carpet GmbH, Denkendorf; the Institute for Textile Technology (ITA), Augsburg; and Next Generation Recyclingmaschinen GmbH (NGR), Feldkirchen, Austria, Barmag investigated the processing of recycled polyester for BCF yarn. The goal was to evaluate the fundamental suitability of 100% recycled carpet material for reuse in carpet yarn production to create a closed-loop system in carpet manufacturing. To date, commercial rPET BCF processes have been based solely on rPET from bottle pellets.
