KARL MAYER shows new solutions in its core technology at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2025

“How can I increase my efficiency? How can I boost my productivity? How can I identify new business areas?” No matter what customers have in mind, KARL MAYER takes care of it! “WE WARP. WE KNIT. WE CARE.” This is the motto of the company’s 360 m² booth A 301 in hall 5 of the Singapore EXPO and the standard KARL MAYER sets for its work.

The company is focusing all its resources on developing new solutions in its core technology areas WARP KNIT and WARP PREP, using innovation to help its customers achieve their individual goals. For KARL MAYER, the customer is the starting point in a journey towards innovation, spanning the entire process from textiles to machinery: KARL MAYER thinks from the customer to innovation, from textiles to machines.

“We are putting the customer at the center of all our decisions. We have to listen very carefully, take a close look and understand how we can help our customers”, says Karl J. Mayer, representative of the KARL MAYER Advisory Board and the Mayer family.

New machines on the floor

Another highlight is two machine premieres. A new two-bar tricot machine for elastic fabrics demonstrates next-generation power. Under the motto “more machine for your money”, this newcomer will contribute significantly to increasing customer margins. Tailored to the requirement of price-sensitive markets, a new four-bar tricot machine is being presented that is suited to the region and the textile trends for the fashion & apparel segment.

“We are proud to present to our trade fair visitors two brand new, state-of-the-art and high-performance tricot machines, which we have developed to meet the fundamental requirements of the textile industry – with maximum productivity, the highest precision and uncompromising efficiency,” explains Axel Wintermeyer, President of the Warp Knitting Business Unit at KARL MAYER.

For KARL MAYER, “WE CARE” also means an after-sales support that is unique in the market. The company is here for you every step of the way around the world! Its Care Solutions products offer you a full service – from training at KARL MAYER’s Academy to consulting and technical support at the highest level. New developments focusing on the CUSTOMER PORTAL and WEBSHOP will be presented in the Care Solutions area.

"Textiles can save lives!"

"WE KNIT TECHNICAL TEXTILES" showcases hollow fibre mats that act as the core of “artificial lungs” to enrich blood with oxygen outside the body. This process was particularly vital during the Covid-19 pandemic. KARL MAYER has succeeded in knitting the demanding fibre material on its weft insertion machines without cross-section changes of the fibre into a filter medium with optimum filter quality and flow rate values.

In addition, non-crimp fabrics and weft insertion warp knits ensure greater efficiency and lower environmental impact in the construction industry, e.g. as plaster grids, coating carriers for roofing solutions and reinforcements in road construction.

“In Singapore, we are demonstrating that the products of our machines open up interesting new avenues in some very specific areas or are more advantageous alternatives,” says Hagen Lotzmann, President of the Technical Textiles Business Unit at KARL MAYER.

"WE WARP FOR YOUR SUCCESS IN WEAVING" is the motto of the weaving preparation business unit  – for maximum energy efficiency, quality and minimum production costs.

KARL MAYER is the only manufacturer worldwide to offer appropriate solutions of the full range in Weaving Preparation for these purposes, including top innovations for sizing and warping.

The CASCADE steam and condensation system reduces the energy consumption of the PROSIZE® sizing machine, thereby cutting costs and environmental impact. The WARPDIRECT warping machine scores highly in terms of output, costs and quality. The high-quality premium beams enable less yarn waste and maximum efficiency in subsequent processes.

“We have prepared a versatile media presentation of our wide-ranging product portfolio for ITMA ASIA + CITME. The focus is on solutions that help our customers to be successful in today’s difficult conditions,” says Enzo Paoli, President of the Warp Preparation Business Unit at KARL MAYER.
