The product range

Regardless of which product area visittors are interested in, Groz-Beckert will be presenting a wide range of new products and the latest innovations at the ITMA Asia.

Knitting

Two newly developed knitting systems created in cooperation with machine builders will be presented in the Circular Knitting segment. The developments focus on energy savings, extended cleaning intervals and increased process reliability. The SAN™ SF staple fiber needle and the SNK SF staple fiber sinker for use on large diameter circular knitting machines will also be presented. They enable reduced contamination in the needle and sinker carrier when knitting staple fiber yarns with increased fiber fly.

The Flat Knitting product group will be placing two special application needles at the center of its presentation. The SAN™ TT is particularly suitable for knitting tight loops in technical or medical textiles. The new SAN™ FY is designed to handle tough, uneven effect yarns.

The Legwear product group presents particularly durable dur™ needles for socks hosiery with high load limits as well as the constantly growing portfolio of system parts.

The Warp knitting product group will be presenting new needle modules and the newly developed guide needle for piezo jacquard machines at the booth. The new guide needle will be presented with the specially developed “JacquART Visualizer”, which visually and interactively simulates the function and movement of the system parts.

Weaving

The Weaving product area will be presenting the KnotMaster tying machine for weaving preparation, which sets itself apart thanks to its simple handling, quick warp changes and reduced waiting times. The focus is also on the broad product portfolio of weaving healds and heald frames. Groz-Beckert healds enable fast warp preparation, high weft insertion performance, fewer production interruptions and flawless fabric quality. The diverse designs of Groz-Beckert heald frames enable effective weaving production on modern, high-performance weaving machines.

Nonwovens

The Nonwovens product area will present products and services for traditional needling and hydroentanglement. Visitors can expect two world firsts in the felting needles segment: a new barb shape specially for needling highly abrasive fibers and the Groz-Beckert felting needle module. Groz-Beckert is showcasing its HyTec™ P jet strip, which stands out through its significantly increased hardness and vastly improved handling features. The product area will also present its extensive offer for running trials on the staple fiber needle punch line (SVL) at the Technology and Development Center (TEZ) in Albstadt with a virtual tour. The Nonwovens-Segment Carding product group will also be presenting various new and further developments. The highlights will be the world’s finest interlocking wire for reduced crash risk, as well as new Groz-Beckert InLine SiroLock™ plus types for a more uniform carding result thanks to special geometries.

Spinning

For customers in the spinning industry, the Spinning product group will be exhibiting a new maintenance-free cylinder card clothing with increased service life and lower maintenance costs. The division will also present further developed fixed and revolving flats. The new revolving flats have been adapted for processing fine yarns, while the stationary flats have been fitted with a new, durable aluminum profile.

Sewing

In addition to the special application needles SAN™, which have been specially developed for demanding sewing operations – e.g. for sewing technical or ultra-fine textiles – the Sewing product area will focus on various digital services relating to the sewing process. With the patented INH (Ideal Needle Handling) quality management system, Groz-Beckert offers sewing customers a solution for easy handling of sewing machine needles as well as complete and digital documentation of all needle changes and breakages. The product area also presents its Needle Finder, an interactive tool in the Sewing Customer Portal that helps customers choose the right needle.

Tufting

The Tufting division will be presenting the proven Gauge Part System for producing tufted floor coverings such as carpets, bath mats or artificial turf. In addition to needle and looper modules, the system also consists of the reed finger module and tufting knives. The coordinated combination of the different individual part materials and the functional interplay ensure impressive results in the production process."

With a strong focus on precision, performance, and sustainability, Groz-Beckert’s participation at ITMA Asia 2024 is set to captivate industry professionals. The company’s innovations align with the growing industry demand for smarter, more efficient textile production processes, making this a must-visit booth for those looking to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving market..

New study shows low environmental impact by Cotton made in Africa Organic Cotton from Tanzania

Today, the Aid by Trade Foundation (AbTF) is announcing the results of a comprehensive life-cycle analysis (LCA) for cotton produced in Tanzania under the Cotton made in Africa Organic (CmiA Organic) standard. The study emphasises the small ecological footprint of CmiA Organic verified cotton. This can largely be traced back to the absence of synthetic pesticides, artificial fertilisers, and artificial irrigation. Consequently, CmiA Organic cotton can help the textile industry meet regulatory requirements as well as science-based targets. The results also show that the consequences of climate change threaten the livelihoods of these cotton farmers, even though the type of agriculture they practise barely contributes to climate change.
