Fulgar and Q-CYCLE® feature in the new ALBINI STUDIO A/W 2026/2027 COLLECTION

Textile innovation and sustainability meet once again thanks to Fulgar, the Italian company and leader in the production of man-made fibers, which brings its revolutionary Q-CYCLE® yarn to center stage at Milano Unica, the benchmark trade show for premium fabrics and accessories for men's and women's fashion apparel. This choice is also shared by Albini 1876, a global reference in high-end textiles, which selected the yarn for its new Albini Studio capsule collection debuting for Autumn/Winter 2026/2027.

The sustainable Q-CYCLE® yarn by Fulgar becomes part of Albini Studio’s experimental collection

Albini Studio, the capsule collection of Albini 1876 – a brand of the Albini Group – serves as a creative and experimental space where craftsmanship meets innovation to bring to life fabrics capable of inspiring the most visionary fashion brands. It is within this context that Kenzia was born – a bold and contemporary fabric made with Q-CYCLE® by Fulgar, used either in combination with TENCEL™ Lyocell or blended with cotton. The result is a fabric with a technical yet refined feel, ideal for unique and sophisticated shirts.

Q-CYCLE® is a new-generation polyamide 6.6 yarn that represents a true revolution in the textile industry. Made through a certified mass balance process, it employs 100% alternative raw material: pyrolysis oil obtained from the recycling of end-of-life or disused tires, among the most environmentally critical wastes. In addition to ensuring high technical performance – including lightness, durability, and elasticity comparable to virgin polyamide – Q-CYCLE® ensures a significantly lower environmental impact. Its sustainability credentials are attested by international certifications and labels such as RCS by TEXTILE EXCHANGE, ISCC PLUS, LCA, and Oeko-TEX STD CLASS I STD 100 Appendix 6. Thanks to its versatility, it can be easily processed and combined with a wide range of fibers, making it ideal for a variety of textile applications, from performance wear to cutting-edge fashion.

“We chose Fulgar’s Q-CYCLE® yarn because it fully reflects the values of sustainability, innovation, and traceability that guide our vision of contemporary textiles, says Ippolita Scandolera of Albini Studio.

“Collaborating with a prestigious name like Albini 1876 is a significant recognition for Q-CYCLE®. It’s tangible proof that sustainable innovation is not only possible, but can also become a key player in the creation of refined and sophisticated fabrics.”, adds Daniela Antunes, Marketing Manager at Fulgar.

Once again, Fulgar reaffirms its role as a strategic partner for textile brands focused on sustainability, offering concrete, cutting-edge solutions to help build a more responsible future.
