TANATEX to spotlight compliance-driven innovation at Techtextil 2026

Tanatex will present durable, non-PFAS water repellency © 2026 TexData International
At Techtextil 2026, TANATEX Chemicals will present a focused innovation story built around a clear market need: helping textile manufacturers meet increasingly demanding sustainability and compliance requirements without compromising critical performance.

Under the theme “Where Chemistry Meets Compliance,” TANATEX will highlight how deep application knowledge, regulatory insight, and practical technical support can help customers navigate complex textile challenges with greater confidence and efficiency.

At the exhibition, TANATEX will place special emphasis on two strategic focus areas:

  • Durable, non-PFAS water repellency
  • Antimony- and halogen-free flame-retardant solutions

These two application areas reflect important transitions taking place across the textile industry. Brands, manufacturers, and finishers are under growing pressure to move toward more sustainable chemistries, while at the same time maintaining the functional properties, process reliability, and certification readiness their end markets demand.

“For many customers, the challenge is no longer just performance or sustainability on their own,” says Rene Hermse, Chief Marketing & Technology Officer. “The real challenge is achieving both, while also staying aligned with evolving standards, regulations, and market expectations. That is exactly where TANATEX adds value: by combining chemistry expertise with practical compliance guidance.”

Rather than presenting chemistry in isolation, TANATEX’s Techtextil approach will focus on the broader question many customers face today: how to move forward with more sustainable textile solutions while preserving the performance characteristics their products require.

In water repellency, TANATEX will showcase solutions aimed at delivering durable non-PFAS performance that can still meet demanding specifications. In flame retardancy, the company will highlight innovative solutions that support the shift toward antimony- and halogen-free systems, offering customers more sustainable pathways in applications where safety, compliance, and performance remain critical.

This positioning reflects TANATEX’s broader role as a technical partner to the textile industry. Not only supplying specialty chemicals, but also helping customers interpret requirements, evaluate options, and identify workable routes forward in a rapidly changing market.

Visitors to the TANATEX booth will have the opportunity to engage directly with a cross-functional team of specialists, including experts from product management, laboratory and technical support, sales, and compliance. These conversations are intended to go beyond product promotion, offering practical insight into how performance targets, sustainability ambitions, and regulatory expectations can be aligned in real-world textile applications.

With this year’s booth concept, TANATEX aims to make that proposition visible in a clear and accessible way: combining technical credibility with a strong, focused story around the challenges customers are facing today.
